Yantra means apparatus. An apparatus is a universe of gurus that makes the wisdom of the gurus self-
luminous within the one using a yantra as a medium for ascending consciousness. An apparatus makes
the universe of living souls the universe of gurus by channeling the consciousness within the living
creatures as the wisdom of the gurus. Like all sciences, it is also limited by the quality of the
consciousness that is channeling the para consciousness into one’s octave of organs through tantra
shastra.
